Cloud Foundry Training During Cloud Foundry Summit 2015
Still Not into Cloud Foundry?
Join These Hands-on Trainings and Get the Most of the CF Summit’15
Following the Cloud Foundry Summit 2015, Altoros is to run a series of trainings this May—for both CF beginners and DevOps professionals. The goal of these workshops is to give you hands-on experience in Cloud Foundry, BOSH, Diego, Lattice, Docker, etc.

Trainings for Beginners (Half-day)
“Deploying an App to Cloud Foundry (Step-by-Step)”
Dave Nielsen, a cloud computing evangelist/consultant, will start with an overview of the available CF services and programming languages. After that, he will proceed with a step-by-step tutorial on how to build a data-driven Web app for Cloud Foundry and deploy it to Pivotal Web Services.
“Deploying Cloud Foundry: BOSH, CF Components, and Interaction Between Them”
Dave Nielsen will demonstrate how to install BOSH CLI and deploy BOSH Lite. You will get an overview of the CF components, see how they interact with each other, learn to create the CF manifest, and deploy a CF release. By the end of the day, you will be able to deploy an app to Cloud Foundry using the CF CLI.
Trainings for DevOps Pro (Full-day)
“Deploying Cloud Foundry: BOSH, BOSH CLI, CF Components, CF CLI”
Alan Moran, our Cloud Foundry Architect, will show you how to set up BOSH, deploy it, and install BOSH CLI. You will take a closer look at the CF architecture and components, and learn how they interact (app life cycle, logging, user authentication, internal communications, etc.). Using the CF CLI, you will deploy an app to the Cloud Foundry PaaS.
“Cloud Foundry v3: Transition to Diego”
Alan Moran of Altoros will introduce you to Diego (the new CF runtime), Lattice (a CF-based project for running containerized workloads on a cluster), and key algorithms of container management. He will demonstrate how to run Diego side-by-side with DEA, implement Blue-Green deployments on both Diego and DEA, and deploy a Lattice cluster on AWS.
"We highly recommend Altoros to rapidly build complex applications using cutting edge technologies. Again, great job!"
