The call was moderated by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/ramanujank\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Ram Iyengar<\/a> from the CF Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>Following the conclusion of the election for the new Technical Oversight Committee (TOC) members in June 2021, the Cloud Foundry community has opted to shift to a pull request\u2013oriented and more <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/cloudfoundry\/community\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">open structure of governance<\/a>. Moving forward, the community activity will be organized into working groups.<\/p>\n<p>Most working groups will be responsible for managing a subset of repositories in the <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/cloudfoundry\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Cloud Foundry GitHub<\/a>. Working groups will hold regular meetings, which can be accessed through the <a href=\"https:\/\/calendar.google.com\/calendar\/u\/0\/embed?src=cloudfoundry.org_oedb0ilotg5udspdlv32a5vc78@group.calendar.google.com\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">community calendar<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>While new working groups may be created later on, the TOC has already approved five of them\u2014<i>Cloud Foundry on Kubernetes<\/i>, <i>Foundational Infrastructure<\/i>, <i>App Runtime Platform<\/i>, <i>App Runtime Interfaces<\/i>, and <i>Paketo<\/i>\u2014which are already up and running.<\/p>\n<p>Besides the groups mentioned above, the TOC is set to finalize a few more, including App Runtime Deployments, Service Management, Vulnerability Management, and Community Experience. According to Ram, the Foundation is looking for members to build up the Community Experience working group.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;If there are folks out there who might be interested in working with Cloud Foundry maintainers via nontechnical contributions, the Community Experience working group is a great place to start.&#8221;<br \/>\n\u2014Ram Iyengar, Cloud Foundry mission of the Cloud Foundry on Kubernetes working group is to bring the ease and simplicity of the CF developer experience to the container orchestration platform.<\/p>\n<p>The goals for the group include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 6px;\">Developers can deploy existing Cloud Foundry\u2013compatible applications to Kubernetes-based environments using workflows that employ official CF clients (such as the <code style=\"color: black; background-color: #e6e6e6;\">cf CLI<\/code> and the CF Java client) or Cloud Foundry API calls.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 6px;\">Developers can take advantage of Cloud Foundry via Kubernetes-native APIs using existing Kubernetes tools and clients (such as <code style=\"color: black; background-color: #e6e6e6;\">kubectl<\/code> and <code style=\"color: black; background-color: #e6e6e6;\">client-go<\/code>).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"attachment_64982\" style=\"width: 140px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a their existing Cloud Foundry environments to the ones on Kubernetes.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 6px;\">Operators can reuse their existing Kubernetes infrastructure and related integrations (i.e., networking, identity, and observability) in their Cloud Foundry deployments.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 6px;\">End users can easily try out and experiment with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.altoros.com\/blog\/cloud-foundry-advisory-board-meeting-jan-2021-new-roles-and-cf-for-k8s\/\">Cloud Foundry on Kubernetes<\/a> on their own Kubernetes clusters with a good out-of-the-box experience.<\/li>\n<li>Vendors can base their own CF distributions on the core components of Cloud Foundry on Kubernetes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Cloud Foundry on Kubernetes working group reliable, performant, and well-documented system components to provide core CF App Runtime capabilities within BOSH-based deployments.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 6px;\">Community contributors can build against core CF App Runtime system components via stable, well-documented APIs.<\/li>\n<li>Community contributors can integrate tested CF App Runtime components into community reference
