VMware also contributed to this effort by <a href=\"https:\/\/tanzu.vmware.com\/blog\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">announcing<\/a> Tanzu Application Service for Kubernetes available as a public beta. In its turn, SUSE <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suse.com\/c\/suse-cap-2-0\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">released<\/a> Cloud Application Platform 2.0, delivering more of Kubernetes experience.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the general availability of CF CLI v7 was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cloudfoundry.org\/blog\/cloud-foundry-foundation-announces-availability-of-new-features-to-make-modern-application-development-even-simpler-for-developers\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">major news<\/a>. The release provides new capabilities, such as rolling application developments, using metadata, and much more. Working from home is the new reality and plenty in the community share this sentiment.<\/p>\n<p>One thing is certain in this pandemic reality, we are going to see a lot of changes in how organizations operate. There are changes to people and process, as well as the ways developers are working. Anyone who has been down in the weeds writing <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Role-based_access_control\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">RBAC<\/a> rules knows that it\u2019s not the nicest thing. If we can replace the simple UAA authorization model and translate it under some RBAC style enforcement rule, that would be something that would help bring the communities together. It would also finalize that journey that we are on in bringing Cloud Foundry and Kubernetes together.\u201d \u2014Simon Moser, IBM<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 6px;\">\u201cIn any organization, you\u2019ll want to use both Cloud Foundry and Kubernetes. Some workloads are more suitable for running in a Kubernetes cluster, and other workloads will have an affinity toward Cloud Foundry. None of us created this system, certainly, none of us created history, and none of us created colonization and capitalism. All these are systems that we have been born into, but we have to understand that in order to keep these systems going, we have to be in denial about the heartbeat of racism.
