The sessions presented by the speakers covered different aspect of the problem. In the morning, the attendees focused on the future of the big data concept, discussed perspectives, and dwelled on the issue of how big data will &#8220;cross the chasm&#8221; from experimentation to mainstream.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-52376\" src=\"https:\/\/www.altoros.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/1-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After a short break, the event continued with a panel discussion about big data analytics, its advantages, bottlenecks, ways of implementation, and real-life examples.<\/p>\n<p>Special attention was given to broad opportunities and challenges that big data generates for business intelligence and machine learning projects. There even were provided 10 efficient strategies on how to deal efficiently with such amounts of data and not to become overwhelmed with it.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-52377\" src=\"https:\/\/www.altoros.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/2-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Big data tools and methods become widely used to solve practical problems in life science. This fact is confirmed by a new type of sessions presented at the event. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/jimadler\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Jim Adler<\/a> from Inome spoke about \u201cBuilding the Information Genome\u2014the Graph of How We All Fit Together\u201d, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/yanchow\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Dr. Yan Chow<\/a> followed with \u201cBig Data in Health Care.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Introducing_the_NoSQL_research\"><\/span>Introducing the NoSQL research<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Earlier, Altoros presented the NoSQL benchmark at CloudCon Expo &amp; Conference \u0432uring October 1\u20133, 2012. This event was a great opportunity to discuss best practices of cloud deployment and share real-life experience in NoSQL products, as well as to discover the most efficient ways of building scalable, self-serving, on-demand, and cost-efficient systems.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-52642\" src=\"https:\/\/www.altoros.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/stand-with-people.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The company\u2019s Founder and Chairman, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/renatco\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Renat Khasanshyn<\/a> presented the results of the research that included performance assessment of such NoSQL databases as MongoDB, Cassandra, and Couchbase Server 2.0.
