Here is a list of updates over the past June 2013:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 6px;\">MapR accelerates performance of HBase applications by 25x.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 6px;\">VoltDB 3.2: About one million transactions per sec with three nodes.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 6px;\">NuoDB\u2019s scale-out performance.<\/li>\n<li>TokuMX vs. MongoDB: Up to 60x better insertion performance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Below, you can find the details about the vendors&#8217; updates mentioned above.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MapR accelerates performance of HBase applications by 25x<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>MapR reported that their big data platform backed with Fusion-io\u2019s Flash memory technology accelerates performance of read-intensive HBase applications by 25x. The solution that combines MapR M7 with Fusion ioMemory eliminates disk storage bottlenecks that used to limit HBase adoption for high-performance systems.<\/p>\n<p><strong>VoltDB 3.2: About one million transactions per sec with three nodes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>VoltDB has revealed performance results for VoltDB 3.2. The team measured transaction per second vs. latency on a sample application. The post on their official blog demonstrates how to set up a cluster that can process about one million transactions per second with just three VoltDB nodes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NuoDB\u2019s scale-out performance<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>NuoDB has used DBT-2, an implementation of the TPC-C benchmark, to test its NewSQL system. The results published on the company\u2019s official blog compare the number of new order transactions per minute against the number of warehouses based on NuoDB Transaction Engines. Take a look at the figures to evaluate NuoDB\u2019s linear scalability.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TokuMX vs. MongoDB: Up to 60x better insertion performance<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tokutek, a database performance accelerator, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.percona.com\/blog\/2013\/06\/06\/iibench-benchmark-tokumx-vs-mongodb\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">has benchmarked<\/a> how its TokuMX, \u201ca performance-enhancing software,\u201d increases the speed of MongoDB. The test demonstrates up to 60x improvement in insertion performance due to TokuMX\u2019s patented Fractal Tree&#x2122; indexing. Previously, Tokutek announced<a href=\"https:\/\/www.percona.com\/blog\/2012\/08\/30\/268x-query-performance-increase-for-mongodb-with-fractal-tree-indexes-say-what\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> 268x query performance increase<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.percona.com\/blog\/2012\/11\/13\/532x-multikey-index-insertion-performance-increase-for-mongodb-with-fractal-tree-indexes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">532x faster multikey index insertion for MongoDB<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>These were the most notable performance updates from NoSQL and NewSQL vendors in June 2013.
