During the call, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/nikolay-valchev-43588035\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Nikolay Valchev<\/a> of SAP demonstrated how to deploy the <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/nvvalchev\/spring-music\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Spring Music<\/a> application using this plugin. <\/p>\n<p>As Nikolay put it, the MultiApps CF CLI plugin provides a user with a decorative model where one can actually describe several Cloud Foundry entities, such as apps, services, routes, etc., and manage them as a single life-cycle unit.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"https:\/\/www.altoros.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/CAB-Cloud-Foundry-Advisory-Board-January-MultiApp.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.altoros.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/CAB-Cloud-Foundry-Advisory-Board-January-MultiApp-1024x646.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-40503\" \/><\/a><small>A YAML file with declarative descriptions for the Spring Music app<\/small><\/center><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_40510\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.altoros.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Nikolay-Valchev.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-40510\" src=\"https:\/\/www.altoros.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Nikolay-Valchev-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"140\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-40510\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-40510\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><small>Nikolay Valchev<\/small><\/p><\/div>\n<p>While the benefits of the MultiApps CF CLI plugin weren&#8217;t clearly visible during the demo, Nikolay emphasized that performance improvements would be much more drastic with applications modeled for the tool.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Applications that are modeled for the MultiApps CF CLI plugin have significant performance gains. The update will require migration from <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/cloudfoundry\/cf-mysql-release\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Cloud Foundry MySQL<\/a> to <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/cloudfoundry\/pxc-release\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Percona XtraDB Cluster MySQL<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 6px;\">The CAPI team is continuing to polish zero-downtime application updates, and they&#8217;re closing down on the API metadata. They are currently looking for application developer feedback.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 6px;\">CLI v6.42.0 was released. It now includes cross-org\/space flags for network policies.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 6px;\">The routing and container networking teams are collaborating on enabling East-West traffic through dynamically configured container Envoy proxies.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 6px;\">The services API team is working to support multiple registrations for the same service broker.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 6px;\">The Garden team is progressing towards better CPU usage reporting, as well as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.altoros.com\/blog\/cloud-foundry-advisory-board-meeting-feb-2018-abacus-envoy-and-containerd\/\">containerd<\/a> adoption.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><small><a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/cloudfoundry\/pmc-notes\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Runtime PMC&#8217;s GitHub repo<\/a><\/small><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Eirini\"><\/span>Eirini<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<div id=\"attachment_40522\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.altoros.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Julian-Friedman.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-40522\" src=\"https:\/\/www.altoros.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Julian-Friedman-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"140\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-40522\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-40522\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><small>Dr. Julz<\/small><\/p><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/julian-friedman\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Julian Friedman<\/a> (aka Dr. Julz) of IBM mentioned that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.altoros.com\/blog\/cloud-foundry-advisory-board-meeting-aug-2018-istio-and-eirini\/\">Project Eirini<\/a> is already passing the <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/cloudfoundry\/cf-acceptance-tests\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">CF Acceptance Tests<\/a>. The <a href=\"https:\/\/cfna19.sched.com\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">schedule<\/a> has already gone live yesterday, and there&#8217;s already a good mix of talks and demonstrations.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;There&#8217;s a good blend of both Cloud Foundry\u2013centric talks and demos. We&#8217;d like to add a bit of brain food for everyone that doesn&#8217;t relate directly to Cloud Foundry. There are some talks on different ways to think about development processes, empathy, and things like that.&#8221;<br \/>\n\u2014Chip Childers, Cloud Foundry Foundation<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The contributors code has already been sent to the <a href=\"https:\/\/lists.cloudfoundry.org\/g\/cf-dev\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">cf-dev mailing list<\/a>.
