    Why watch this?

For the IoT industry to thrive, there are three categories of challenges to overcome: technology, business, and society. The upcoming webinar will shed some on what issues to expect soon.

    Overview

The Internet of Things (IoT) represents ubiquitous connected things that gather physical data—with further processing of that data in the cloud to deliver business insights. It is the next level of automation of every process in our life, providing a huge opportunity for many players in all businesses and industries.

The convergence of new technologies will make IoT implementation much easier and faster, which in turn will improve many aspects of our life at home and at work and in between. From refrigerators to parking spaces to smart houses, IoT is bringing more and more things into the digital fold every day, which will likely make IoT a multi-trillion dollar industry in the near future.

Many companies see big opportunity in IoT usage because it holds the promise to drive business growth by reducing costs, risks, and theft. Enterprises start to believe that IoT can also enhance customer relationships by improving quality, productivity, and reliability within the company. Many companies are organizing themselves to focus on IoT and the connectivity of their future products and services.

However, there are three categories of challenges that companies need to address while implementing IoT solutions:

    • technology
    • business
    • society

Ahmed Banafa of the San Jose State University will explain what exactly the issues are, providing some tips on how to solve them.
